DRIVE TIME

Host: Wintson Kafu Cabey

Thursdays, 8:00pm - 11:00pm EST

The Road Traffic Safety Program, Drive Time, began in the 1980's and lasted for approximately thirteen years until it was disrupted by the 1995 volcanic eruptions, of the Soufriere Hills Volcano.  The program went through a hiatus during the height of the volcanic crisis and was only reintroduced to the Airwaves on May 2nd 2013.

The aim of the program is to inform and educate the motoring public as well as pedestrians about road traffic safety which includes the rules of the road and how pedestrians should use the road.

As the host of Drive Time, Kafu is determined to have vehicle owners learn more about their vehicles and how to keep them in good running condition but his main task is to work with the Royal Montserrat Police Service to make the island’s roads safe for both Motorists and Pedestrians. The program also includes a call in section where the listening audience can make their input. Along with the host Winston Kafu Cabey, Officers including Senior Officers from the Traffic Department of the Royal Montserrat Police Services are regular guests on the program.
