Government Awards Five Scholarships

Five, is the number of scholarships the government says it will award for the 2018/2019 academic year, based on the funding available.

Cabinet approved funding for three of the 37 priority areas for long-term training this year.

Two individuals have been awarded scholarships to pursue Bachelor of Science Degrees in Social Work.

Two scholarships have also been granted for two individuals to study for a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Marine Engineering.

Cabinet approved funding to support a Master of Arts Degree in Diagnostic Imaging.

The Government in June approved a list of 37 priority areas with computer or broadcasting engineering topping the training list.

Other priority areas for the government were construction management, information technology, health care management, public health and information management and preservation.
