Darwin Plus Supports Marine Environment Project

Montserrat has received funding from the Darwin Plus for a marine conservation project.

The “Improving Sustainability of Marine Management on Montserrat” project enables the Government of Montserrat to improve the management of the marine environment and key marine resources by strengthening the evidence base, local capacity and management tools to inform the sustainable development of the island’s marine based economy.
The project also aims to educate the younger generation on marine issues relevant to Montserrat to ensure the future sustainability of the island’s marine environment.
