Montserrat’s Leader of Government Business Promotes the Island as Ideal Destination for Remote Workers Imprint

Premier, the Honourable Joseph Farrell has made a pitch to potential clients for the Montserrat Remote Workers stamp.

Speaking to an international audience earlier this week he said Montserrat has all the attributes of a sought-after destination, including soft adventure, safety and a rich cultural heritage.

While addressing the Island Innovation webinar, he points out that many persons are now looking for destinations to call their home as the Covid-19 pandemic has now changed the way people work and play.

Premier Farrell says Montserrat is not new to the remote working concept, as the island was once the playground for international recording artistes, such as Sting, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Paul McCartney, and Elton John

He said they made Montserrat their home and recorded some of their most successful albums here.

To-date, seven families, comprising twenty people have visited the island, taking advantage of the extended stay feature.

Meantime, the Tourism Division is currently working on the development of a new campaign, which would combine the use of paid media, public relations, and social media.
