The Ministry of Health and Social Services is alerting the public to a noticeable increase in the number of children presenting at health facilities island wide with symptoms of a generalized rash accompanied by fever.

Health authorities are currently investigating the cause of these cases.

Work has started in earnest on the New National Hospital Project in St. John’s.

In providing an update to the public Wednesday afternoon, project manager for construction within the ministry of Health for the new facility, Carlos Pena, says preliminary works have been completed and excavation has started to facilitate construction on the first of three wings of the hospital.

Chatoor says the programme, spearheaded by the Department of Community, Youth Sports (DCYS), will provide critical information on crime and arrests rates in Montserrat.

The Reintegration Into Society for Ex-offenders- RISE program had its official launch on Friday June 6th at the Royal Montserrat Police Service RMPS parking lot.

The initiative was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The public service's strength lies in its ability to effectively serve citizens, and Human Resources plays a critical role in this by managing the workforce, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive work environment.

A joint team from the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) of the UK Armed Forces is in Montserrat to support and strengthen the island’s natural disaster contingency planning.
