DMCA Urges Full Preparedness Ahead of Active Hurricane Season

Director of the Disaster Management Coordination Agency (DMCA) Lieutenant Colonel Alvin Ryan reiterated the need for everyone on island to focus on bringing their preparedness to completion.

He was at the time addressing the annual hurricane conference at the DMCA Media room Tuesday morning.

Speaking to members of response agencies, Colonel Ryan set the seen by outlining the tenets of preparedness in light of the above normal Atlantic Hurricane Season as predicted by weather sources including the National Oceanic atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

Colonel Ryan also doubled down on the three simple truths at the forefront of the preparedness construct.

Meantime, Senior Disaster Management Coordinator, Astrid Wade outlined to the participants the logistical arrangements in place, including emergency shelters, from the DMCA standpoint.
