Government to Development Repatriation Plan For Montserratians Overseas
With the island’s population continuing to dwindle steadily, the Government says efforts are underway to stabilize the situation.
Acting Premier, Dr. the Honourable Samuel Joseph says Cabinet is discussing the basis for a Repatriation Plan.
The plan calls for a strategy for encouraging Montserratians to return home.

The government also announced that effective immediately persons could stay and work in Montserrat for three months in the first instance.
This will assist in filling capacity gaps in some sectors in the economy.
