The History of CARICOM and the Success of the Treaty of Chaguaramas Highlighted on CARICOM Day

A former Chief Minister of Montserrat who was a signatory to the treaty of Chaguaramas which established CARICOM has hailed the success to date of the integration movement.

Percival Austin Bramble says the exercise has been positive and very instrumental in keeping the Caribbean region together.

However, on the golden jubilee of the Caribbean Community, Mr Bramble feels that much more needs to be and could be done to deepen the movement in a number of functional areas.

Going forward, former chief minister Bramble has words of encouragement for the movement in its quest to further deepen collaboration internally.
