Residents in Montserrat Encouraged to Support the 2023 Population and Housing Census
The island’s Chief Statistician is encouraging residents in Montserrat to support the 2023 Population and Housing Census.
Siobhan Tuitt says this important exercise will provide critical information to aid in Montserrat’s growth and development.
Tuesday September 12 was designated National Census Day, although the population count will not get underway until later this week.
Miss Tuitt says the data is important in many ways such as planning, the make up of the population and the allocation of resources.
She says census data also aids in emergency response and health crisis, and business and marketing research.
Ms. Tuitt says the time is right for a comprehensive and accurate household data survey on Montserrat.
