Acting Premier Calls for More Dialogue on the Governor’s Constitutional Role
Acting Premier has called for more dialogue on the Governor’s constitutional role in Montserrat.
Dr. the Honourable Samuel Joseph addressed the issue during his bi-weekly broadcast “From the Minister’s Chair.”
He stated that the Governor has been more involved in making decisions since the merger of Dfid and the FCDO in 2020.
Dr. Joseph’s comments were made against the background of a visit here by a team from the FCDO, which is undertaking a mid-year review of the Financial Aid Mission (FAM).
He said the changes have created challenges for both sides.
