Access Commission Begin Public Inquiry on Transportation in and out of Montserrat
The question of the government of Montserrat’s shareholder stakes in Fly Montserrat came under the microscope on the opening day of the Access Commission’s enquiry into transportation into and out of the island.
Following recent postponements, the Commission started its probe in earnest on Monday September 25.
Over the years, The government has made significant input into the airline since it started operating on the Montserrat/Antigua route.
However, when questioned by members of the access commission, Manager of Fly Montserrat, Nigel Harris, stated that it wasn’t clear as to whether the government of Montserrat is still a shareholder.
