A Project Manager Appointed for the New National Hospital Project

The Programme Management Office within the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management has welcomed the appointment of a Project Manager for the New National Hospital Project.

He is Hannes De Bruin.

Mr De Bruin officially assumed the post on April 1, 2022.

In a media statement, Head of the PMO Martin Parlett says his department is delighted to welcome Mr. De Bruin to the ‘project family’, to support the Montserrat Ministry of Health & Social Services in the planning, delivery and oversight of this central development project for Montserrat.

Parlett says this appointment is the result of an internationally-competitive recruitment campaign, and they are excited to secure the experience, enthusiasm and sensitivity that De Bruin brings to this keystone project as they progress towards detailed design.

De Bruin brings specific knowledge of healthcare development from the British National Health Service (NHS) and British Overseas Territory contexts.

Whilst De Bruin’s primary focus will be the development of the hospital and associated infrastructure, the Programme Management Office will also be making announcements soon about the transformational portfolio of broader healthcare service improvement projects, which will run parallel to the infrastructure development scope.

The PMO Head says he is grateful to the CIPREG Programme for the funding for this role as it ensures that its change initiatives have the right resources and skills mix to maximize success.
