Government of Montserrat’s Quest to Transform Energy Sector on Island
Minister with responsibility for energy, Dr, the Honourable Samuel Joseph says it is the government’s desire to transform Montserrat.
He said that If geothermal energy were not the desired way, then a case must be made for wind and/or solar energy to meet the island’s needs.
Dr Joseph states that the transformation must not only bed seen in the production of electricity but what else can geothermal, in this case, be used for.
The energy minister outlines that they will be asking the UK government for technical and financial assistance in specific areas.
