Local Pan-Africanist Calls for True Emancipation Beyond Political Independence
A local pan Africanist and historian has been making the correlation between decolonization and flag independence and the difficulties Montserrat and other Caribbean Islands face in the progression.
Decolonization is the process by which a colony becomes independent of the colonizing country, encompassing political, economic, cultural, and social dimensions.
Chedmond Browne highlights that only Barbados’ prime minister Mia Amor Mottley has the gumption, the know how, and the background of all regional leaders to stand up to the western world, regardless of the repercussions.
He is calling on the other regional leaders to join in the fight for true liberation and subsequent emancipation.
