Montserrat represented at Education World Forum in the United Kingdom

Montserrat’s Minister of Education, Dr the Honourable Ingrid Buffonge, and the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Beverly Mendes, are currently representing the island at the Education World Forum (EWF), held in the United Kingdom from May 18 to 21.

The EWF is the world’s largest annual gathering of education and skills ministers, bringing together leaders from across the globe to share insights, experiences, and solutions to some of the most critical challenges in education today.

This year’s forum focuses on the theme of building inclusive, responsive, and resilient education systems capable of driving equitable and sustainable socio-economic development.

With a strong emphasis on innovation, international collaboration, and the integration of technology, the event aims to foster forward-thinking approaches to education in an increasingly interconnected world.

By participating in a range of plenary and thematic sessions, Dr Buffonge and Mrs Mendes are engaging in high-level discussions on best practices, forging valuable international partnerships, and exploring strategies that could be adapted to enhance Montserrat’s own educational framework.

The event, which continues through May 21, is expected to yield actionable insights and foster deeper global cooperation in the field of education.
