Uniformed Officers Recognized for Long Service at King’s Birthday Parade

Several officers from Montserrat’s uniformed services were last Saturday June 14th recognized for their dedicated service during the King’s Birthday Parade.

Medals were presented to members of the Royal Montserrat Defence Force, the Royal Montserrat Police and Fire Service, and His Majesty’s Prison.

These awards recognize the length of service, as well as the commitment of officers who have played key roles in safeguarding Montserrat and upholding public order.

From the Royal Montserrat Defence Force; Warrant Officer Class One, Barry A. C. Williams was awarded the Efficiency Medal 2nd clasp for 24 years of service, Private Alison Richards 1st Clasp for 18 years of service, while Sergeant Melvin Lindsey received a medal for 12 years of service.

In accordance with section 2 of the Colonial Police Long Service Medal Regulations of the Police Act, Firefighter Ralston Brade was awarded the Royal Montserrat Police and Fire Service Colonial Long Service Medal 1st clasp for 25 years of service.

Deputy Superintendent of Prison Keniel Murrain and Immigration Officer Tricia Allen were each awarded a medal for 18 years of Service.

And for in accordance with the Colonial Prison Service Medals Regulation of the Prison Act, Prison Officer Carlton Smith was awarded for 18 years of Service to the Montserrat Prison Service.
